Business Analyst – Fund Administration (Transfer Agency)

The role

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong fund administration background and in-depth Transfer Agency operational knowledge. You'll work with operations, technology and senior stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes and deliver change across the TA function.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, user stories and process flows for TA and wider fund administration change.
  • Map current and future-state processes across investor onboarding, dealing, settlements, distributions, transfers and investor servicing.
  • Act as the link between operations and technology teams or vendors, translating operational needs into clear functional specifications.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades and enhancements, including UAT planning, test scripts and defect management.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps and automation opportunities, and recommend improvements.
  • Support regulatory and compliance-driven change, such as AML/KYC, FATCA/CRS and investor reporting requirements.
  • Produce clear documentation and stakeholder updates, and support go-live and post-implementation activity.

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within fund administration or asset servicing.
  • Strong hands-on Transfer Agency operational knowledge, ideally gained in an operations role before moving into BA work.
  • Solid understanding of the fund lifecycle, investor transactions and TA controls.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping and UAT.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Desirable

  • Experience with TA platforms such as Multifonds, Investran, FIS, SS&C or similar.
  • Exposure to UCITS and AIF structures across Irish or Luxembourg domiciles.
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC, FATCA/CRS and investor due diligence.
  • Agile or Waterfall delivery experience, and familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • A BA certification such as CBAP or IIBA, or a relevant fund industry qualification
